Lhasa to Shangri La (ST04)
“Shangri-La” is a mystical, harmonious valley. On this trip, we will begin by arriving in Lhasa from Chengdu, after visiting the main sites of Lhasa, we will fly to the southern corner valleys of the Tibetan Plateau.

Day2: Chengdu: Today, your journey is to visit to San-xing-dui. Literally “three stars mound”, is the name of an archaeological site in China, now believed to be the site of an ancient Chinese city. The previously unknown Bronze Age culture was re-discovered in 1987 when archaeologists excavated remarkable artifacts, that radiocarbon dating dated as being from the 12th-11th centuries BCE. Leaving behind nothing in the historical record, not even in myth, the unknown culture that produced these artifacts is now known as the Sanxingdui Culture. On the way return after visiting this mysterious site, you will visit Chengdu Panda Breeding base.
Day3: Chengdu to Lhasa: By flight to Lhasa, after arrive in Lhasa airport, our Tibetan guide will meet you at the airport, and transfer you to Lhasa. On the way, visit Netang Buddha, a Sakyamuni image engraved in the mountain face.
Day4 & Day5: Lhasa: Visit Potala Palace, Jokhang temple, Barkhor St, Sera, Drepung and Nechung monasteries.
Day6: Lhasa: In the morning drive to visit Drakyerpa cave, in the afternoon drive to visit Ganden monastery.
Day7: Lhasa to Zhongdian: By noon flight to Zhongdian, after arriving at Zhongdian, meet your guide; drive to visit local Tibetan family.
Day8: Zhongdian: Today, you will begin your tour of visiting Songzan-lin monastery, then after visit to the local market.
Day9: Zhongdian to Lijiang: Departure in the early morning, enroute a detour of Tiger Leaping Gorge, then to Lijiang, which is – UNESCO World Heritage Site; today you will begin our visit to this “ferry land” of Shu-he ancient town, which is about 7 km away from Lijiang, then after visit to Black-Dragon pond.
Day10: Lijiang: Today, you will drive to visit Baisha Mural, and Baisha village of Bai people; then visit to the Jade Dragon mountain.
Day11: Lijiang to Chengdu: By flight to Chengdu, after arrive in Chengdu, pick up at airport, in the afternoon visit to Temple of Marques Wu, and the old street of Jinli.
Day12: Chengdu to the airport for departure.
