Tibetan treasures exhibition in Beijing

“Tibetan treasures – Tibet Cultural Relics Exhibition Garden” in Chinese Garden-Art Museum Beijing was opened on 16th June. 108 (sets) of precious cultural relics and Thangka from Norbulingka are first exhibited out of the Tibet. This exhibition will last to August.

Norbulingka is located nearly 2 kilometers west of Potala Palace Lhasa, was built in the mid-18th century, Norbulingka in Tibetan means “Previous garden”, It is the former summer palace for Dalai Lama. Ever since 2001, Norbulingka is listed on the World Heritage sites by UNESCO.

The exhibition of cultural relics diverse category, including Tibetan Buddhist deities statues, musical instruments, various rare Thangkas, Tibetan Buddhism Religious articles, different categories of Buddhist texts, copper Yamantaka like, Zijin master Atisha like, gilded patina Tara statue, also Vajra, France bell, Buddhist prayer beads and other supplies, as well as the Dalai Lama’s daily necessities, clothing, and Milarepa Thangka, Tara Thangka. Some of the exhibits items are with age of dating back to the Tibetan Tubo dynasty, of which there are a large part of a national-grade cultural relics
