Drak Yerpa Monastery

Drak Yerpa is with history of over 1,500 years. It is one of the 4 Great meditation site of Tibetan Buddhism, and has rich collections with great nature view. It is well-known for its architectural style of which is a perfect combination of Caves and Temples. All the of temples are half embeded in the mountain, and half of it are assembled outside with soil and stones.

Litang

Litang is located in the west of Sichuan Province, Southwest of Kanze (also Garze) Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. In Tibetan language, Litang is called “Le Tong”; “Le” means Bronze Mirror; “Tong” means grass land. Put this two together, the toponym of “Le Tong” means a grassland that is flat and pure as a Bronze Mirror.

This Auspicious treasure has been a traffic hub to connect the central Tibet and the east Tibet of Kham since hundreds of thousands years ago; it is also a Business Trading center on the traditional Tea-Horse Trading Route and in present time

The township is about 4050meter above sea level, and gain one nickname of “the world high city”

Yongbu Lhakhang

Yongbu Lhakhang, The 1st palace of Tibet. It has history of over 2000 years, when Princess Wenchen of Tang Dynasty married to Tibet King Songtsam Ganpo. Yongbu Lhakhang was the palace that Princess Wenchen lived. It now still has statues of Tibet King Songtsam Ganpo and Princess Wenchen.

Visit Potala Palace

From May 1st, The entrance tickets for visiting Potala palace has been activated High-season ticketing policy. The entrance fee is increased from 100rmb / pp for low travel season to 200 rmb pp for high travel season.

There are two ways to buy this entrance tickets:

  • at ticket – office of potala palace
  • log in the official website of Potala palace, a 7 days prior to visit can be reserved online;
  • The online reservation on Potala palace website is only open one hour from 14:30pm – 15:30pm

The Potala Palace is located in Lhasa, Tibet Autonomous Region, China. It was named after Mount Potala, the abode of Chenresig or Avalokitesvara.

Nyingtri and the new Tibet Sichuan high way

Dried Yak Meat

Each winter, Tibetan family begin to make the traditional Tibetan local flavour food, the Dried Yak Meat; Butcher shops and some of families even built ventilated room to produce dried meat. Each rope covered with strips of beef. In winter, the dry and cold wind blow-dry the yak meat, which is one of the best food that Tibetan family host guests visitors.
