Mount Siguniang

Mount Siguniang is also Mt. Four sisters, which according to the legend of local that these four peaks were originally four beautiful sisters of the mountain god. Mount Siguniang encompasses 4 peaks, of which are called :

  • Da Feng(Big Peak or 1st peak)
  • Er Feng(2nd peak)
  • San Feng(3rd Peak)
  • Yaomei Feng (4th Peak, the highest of the 4 peaks)

All four peaks are perennially covered with snow located some 150 kilometers in the northwest of Chengdu the capital of Sichuan province, which is well-connected with Europe and North America by direct flight; Mount Siguniang was listed as the China National Scenic Resort in 1994 and as the China National Nature Reserve in 1996. The whole area covers an area of 450 square kilometers and consists of the Mount Siguniang, Shuang-qiao gully, Chang-ping gully and Hai-zhi gully. This 4 peaks of Siguniang mountain stand side by side at the end of the Qiong-Lai Mountain Range on the east Edge of Tibetan plateau. The altitude of four peaks are 5355m, 5454m, 5664m and 6250 m above the sea level. The Siguniang Mountain is honored as the “queen of Sichuan’s mountains”, the fame mountain with the king of Sichuan- the Mount Gongga 7556 m high.

Preferential policies

  • Half-price tickets: Undergraduate and below full-time students, the disabled, the elderly over the age of 60, 6-18-year-old adolescents, respectively by student ID card, ID card or passport
  • Free ticket : children under 1.3 meters tall or under 6 years of age; Military personal, retired cadres with the corresponding documents free of charge

Be advised: No discount on Eco-transportation

Accommodations in Mount Siguniang

There are more than 20 hotels, youth hotel there, from RMB 60 per bed per night to hundreds of RMB for one night, options there. In high travel season, i.e. the accommodation costs could be charged double on its regular price, due to high demands. It is recommended an early booking in order to secure your room

How to get Mount Siguniang

The nearest airport to Mt Siguniang is Chengdu Shuangliu Airport. Upon arriving at the airport, you can take the airport bus and get off at Minshan Hotel, then to switch to Bus 82 to Cha-dian-zi Bus Terminal, where to take the bus to get to Siguniang Mountain. Or to take a taxi directly from the airport to Chadianzi Bus Terminal

There is no direct shuttle bus to Mt Siguniang in Chengdu. Visitors can only take the bus to Xiao-jin County from Chadianzi Bus Terminal in Chengdu and get off at Rilong Town

There are three buses leave for Xiaojin Town at 06:30 am, 07:30 am and 12:00 pm every day, the full ride takes about 5 – 6 hours with rate of RMB 70 per person
