Description

Tibetan Tribe tour begins from Chengdu – the capital of Sichuan province that has direct-flights to Europe, North America and Southeast Asia. These flights have made a visit to the Tibetan plateau a lot easier than ever before.

This trip leads onto Tibetan plateau after reaching at gateway town of Kangding; then exploring the “Kangba” Tibetan tribe areas from top of the high mountain to the bottom of the valley. You will enjoy outstanding combinations of the religious site and nature wonders, including Hui-yuan temple which the 7^th Dalai Lama spending 7 years for his meditation, the lovely creature – Giant panda, the beauty valley of Danba, and the ancient watching towers of Danba, which the county’s landscape changes vertically from high-altitude snow covered mountains and glaciers to the low altitude grasslands and river valleys.

D1 Arrive in Chengdu

By flight to Chengdu, after arrive in Chengdu, visit to the traditional Chinese tea-house at People’s park, which is regarded as a Window for people understanding the way of local people’s life.

D2 Chengdu to Xinduqiao

Today, we begin our journey, we’ll depart early, the drive may take 8-9 hours. The first stop we will make is in Kangding, which is the first Tibetan town of this trip with altitude of 2650 meters, we will walk around in this small town that situated in the bottom of valley, enjoy the view, if you want that you can try to communicate with lcoal people with assistance of our gudie; then after we will be on our way again, heading west onto Mt Dzeto Pass (4323 meters). Here on the top of the pass officially means you are on the tibetan plateau. Then we will descend to Xinduqiao (3300 meters), a small tibetan town becomes popular for its picturesque view

D3 Xin Du Qiao to Danba

The first site of today is Lhagang Monastery, then visit to Lhagang passture; After that, we will be on the way heading west via Bamei. from which we turn to the east, and stop by the monastery of Gatar Shangbalin, which the 7^th Dalai Lama used to cultivate himself according to a religious doctrine; The birth place of 11^th Panchen Lama is not far from here by the main road and can be viewed from the main road. Then, about a 30 minute drive onto the range of Yarla yartso mountain we can enjoy the stunning view of Mt. Yarla Yartso, then continue following the Donggu River crossing through the narrow and deeply Donggu valley to Danba, which is the Kingdom of Ancient Blockhouses that is hidden deep in the high mountains and dense forests, thousands of blockhouses endowed with a sense of mystery. The Dadu River takes shape there and flows south through Danba. Towers were built hundreds of years ago, for defensive purposes and passing messages between different villages. The height of these stone-built military structures is often above 30 meters, while the tallest tower measures 60 meters high. Looking from afar, the scenery of the groups of towers and castles standing in the gorgeous Danba valley is breathtaking. We will spend the night at one Tibetan village that is located on the half of the mountain, we will visit one of those “Tibetan Watching tower” ;

D5 Danba to Siguniang Mountain

Today, we will depart early, arriving in Mt Siguniang, in which we will first pickup the reserved entrance tickets, and Eco-Bus tickets, then we will begin our day tour of Shangqiao valley to enjoy the nature view of this beautiful mountain.

D6 Siguniang Mountain to Chengdu

Depart in the morning, we will drive along the valley, passing through the Wo-ri watching tower; then to reach Mt Four Sisters, enjoy the view of the mountain at Mao-Bi-Liang, we will cross over Mt Balang, return to Chengdu

D7 Chengdu departure

Today, your trip is ending. We will provide transportation for the drive to the airport or train station where you will depart for your next destination.
