Overview
Join us on an unforgettable journey through the legendary land of Shangri-La — a mystical paradise in Tibetan Buddhist tradition, believed to lie hidden among the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas. Described as a place of eternal peace and happiness, this “hidden kingdom” has inspired countless travelers and spiritual seekers.
Today, two destinations in Southwest China lay claim to this mythical name: Shangri-La Town (formerly Yading, meaning “Place Facing the Sun”) in Sichuan, and Shangri-La City in Yunnan. Both lie in the eastern Tibetan cultural region of Kham, and on this journey, you’ll experience both — blending the dreamlike beauty of sacred peaks with vibrant local culture.
In addition to the Tibetan Plateau’s treasures, the tour includes a visit to the UNESCO-listed Old Town of Lijiang, famed for its ancient architecture and rich Naxi heritage.
