Katmandu to Beijing (ST05)
Friendship high-way is the main road connecting Lhasa and Katmandu, this journey will begin from this road, then taking the Sky-Train from Lhasa descending from high plateau to Xian, en-route enjoying the rich landscape, and the changing cultures of Nepalese, Tibetan, Chinese shall bring much enjoyment during this journey.
Itinerary
Day 2 Katmandu: Full day visit of Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Patan, Bhadgaon (Bhaktapur).
Day 3 Katmandu to Zhangmu: Drive to Kodari, acrossing through Friendship-bridge, then meet with Tibetan guide, drive onto Zhangmu.
Day 4 Zhangmu to Sakya: En route, enjoy the stunning view of Himalaya range of Mt. Everest, then to Sakya.
Day 5 Sakya to Shigartse: In the morning visit to Sakya monastery, then departure for Shigartse, where to visit Tashilunphuk monastery.
Day 6 Shigartse to Lhasa via Gyantse: Today, you will visit to Gyantse Palkhor chode, then passing through Yamdrok Lake to Lhasa.
Day 7 & 8 Lhasa: Visit Potala Palace, Jokhang temple and Barkhor Street, Sera, Drepung and Nechung monasteries.
Day 9 & 10 Lhasa to Xian: In the morning drive to train station to take the Sky-train for departure; arriving at Xian on the next evening, meet you guide, drive to your hotel to check in.
Day 11 & 12 Xian: During our two days in Xian, you will visit to the Terracotta warriors, the Forest of Stele, the city wall; the big Goose tower, Shanxi Provincial museum, Muslim Quarters of Xi’an.
Day 13 Xian to Beijing: Arrive in Beijing in the morning, drive to visit Tian’anmen Square, and Forbidden city; a half day tour of Hutong by rackshaw in the afternoon
Day 14 Beijing to the airport for departure.
