Dongguan Mosque is located at the south side of Dongguan Street in Xining, it is an Islamic buildings that Towers, walls, houses are built together as one. The center of the assembly hall is the largest building of the mosque that covers 1,102 square meters. The whole mosque covers an area of 11,940 square meters, and another 363 square meters each of North and South Houses. The mosque was built during the Hong-wu reign of Ming Dynasty (1380 AD) , and it unfortunately had repeatedly been destroyed in history and has been continuously constructed. The existing building was rebuilt in 1913, reconstructed and expanded in 1946 and rebuilt in 1979. It is one of the major mosques in northwestern China. The Mosque building is magnificent with style of combining both traditional Chinese and Islamic architectural features, and with grand appearance and delicate, dazzlingly inside ornaments interior appointments. Its prayer hall is large enough to contain 3,000 people praying together in the same time.
With a history of more than 600 years, Dongguan Mosque is not only well known for its magnificent architecture but also for its role as a religious education center and an Islamic institute of higher learning.

By bus : line 1, 2, 10, 17, 23, 25, 26, 33, 40, 43, 81, 83, 101, 102, 109, at bus stop “Bei-Xiao-Jie-Kou | 北小街口站”, then walk 150 meters along Dongguan Street.
