Nan Shan Park

Nan Shan Park is located on the Feng Huang (means ‘Phoenix’) Mountain with altitude of 2419 meters. It is the largest modern mountain forest park of Xining, covers an area of 1500 acres.

This park was officially built in 1999 and opened to the visitors ever since; This park is divided into several sections, including, mountain walk area, colorful overflow scenic area, Jin Tong Liu Feng area, climb-overlooking the scenic area, children’s area, leisure fishing area, Tibetan style garden, and Dining area, the whole park is with beautiful scenery, and a good place for leisure and viewing. The newly built waterfall falls down under the sun, it became the unique waterfall water feature of Xining.

Phoenix Pavilion According to legend, during Nanliang period, a phoenix flew to Nanshan, so Nanshan is also called Phoenix Mountain. There is a hill in the northwest of Nanshan Park, with a pavilion on its top, called Phoenix Pavilion, also known as Phoenix Terrace. Although the legendary Phoenix Tower has long since disappeared, the song “Fengtai Liuyun” is still widely spread; it now has become a great scenic spot and one of the eight ancient sceneries of Xining

By bus : line 3, 4, 34, 58, 84, 103, at bus stop “Nan-Shan-Gong-Yuan-Zhan | 南山公园站”
